How do we protect your privacy?
We do everything we can to make you feel safe with us. In this document you will find all the information you need about how we protect your privacy: what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how you can control the processing, the measures we take to protect your data and the rights you have in relation to the processing.
We comply with all regulations regarding the protection of your personal data.

What data we collect
When you sell goods through our e-shop www.wedlif.com, we collect the following information about you:
Purchase details
When you make a purchase, we require the information necessary to process your order. The mandatory data are only those without which we cannot send you the purchase and process your order, such as your name, e-mail address, delivery address, telephone number and the subject of the order.
Details when creating an account
If you choose to create a user account with us, we also collect all related data. Here too, the mandatory data are the login name and password, your first and last name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number. We use this data to be able to communicate with you.
News by e-mail (newsletter)
If you give us your consent to do so by ticking the box when you register or sign up for our newsletters, we will store your email address and name for the purpose of sending you information about products, special offers and news. Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link that is placed in each email message sent.
Data collected when visiting our e-shop
When you access our site, we also collect data about how you use it. This is information relating to your interactions with our services, such as when you access our site, what you search for on our site, when you create an account and when you log in to your account.
We also collect information about the devices and computers you use to access our services, including the type of browsers, information about operating systems, information about your mobile device where applicable, which website you access us from, the pages you visit, and information from cookies and similar tools.
How we process data
We process the data we have collected about you for the following purposes:
Provision of our services
Based on the information we collect from you, we can supply you with our products in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. We use the data we receive from you when you place an order to process it. We also need this data for our accounting purposes in order to properly issue invoices in accordance with the Accounting Act.
The data and information we have collected about you when providing our services and when you log into your account is used to help us ensure that your account and the information available to you in it is up to date.
Communication with you
We use your contact details to send you our notifications related to order processing and service provision or to respond to you when you contact us to ask us what is happening with your order, to notify us of a new delivery address, for example, or to ask us to otherwise change your details in your order or user account. We also process your contact data as well as your purchase data in case you make a complaint about the delivered goods.
Security and protection of rights
We also use your data to ensure the security of the services we provide, to respond to claims made against us, in proceedings before governmental and other authorities that control our activities, and to enforce claims made against us.

Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on your browser or mobile device while you are browsing a website.

- Functional and technical cookies – these cookies ensure the proper functioning of our website, for example, they ensure the function of logging in to a user account on the site, storing goods in the shopping cart, or detecting attempts to log in to an unauthorized account. Without these cookies, our website would not function properly, their use is essential and therefore we do not ask for your consent to store and access them. We also include cookies in this category, which allow us to store the contents of your basket for you without you being logged in.
- Analytical cookies – these cookies are used to collect data about traffic to our website, information about searches made on our site and also to find out how you move around our site so that we can make it as easy as possible for you to use. As we have implemented measures for these cookies to prevent their misuse (anonymisation on the part of our suppliers) and at the same time measures are implemented so that you can easily control and limit the use of these cookies, we do not ask for your consent to use them.

Although we do not want to burden you with legal terms, in accordance with the requirements of data protection legislation, we must inform you of the legal bases for processing your personal data, which are:
- Contract fulfilment – in the case of ordering goods and setting up a user account, but also in the case of your participation in a consumer competition.
- Fulfilling our legal obligations – when storing data about you and your order in our accounting system or when disclosing the data to state and other authorities that supervise our activities or that resolve disputes or execute decisions.
- Our legitimate interest – in improving and personalising our services, certain marketing activities, or in relation to security and rights protection, as we have set out above. In these cases, we will always carefully consider whether the processing will constitute a disproportionate interference with your rights.
To whom we disclose data
We may disclose the personal data that we process both as a controller and as a processor exclusively to our collaborators who provide administrative and technical support in the operation of the e-shop website, or to other entities only for the purpose of fulfilling our legal obligations.
We do not disclose, share, or share your personal information with any other entities, except in the situations described below:

For legal and damage prevention reasons
We may also retain or disclose your data to others to comply with legal obligations, to comply with requests from government and other authorities, to assert or defend claims against us in proceedings where others assert claims against us.
The categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal data for these reasons include, for example, courts, governmental and other authorities competent to exercise control over our activities, to settle disputes or enforce decisions, or our legal and accounting advisors and auditors.
Transfer to third countries
We do not currently transfer your personal data to third countries outside the EU. Any processing of personal data is carried out exclusively within the EU.
How we protect your data
We want to assure you that your personal data is safe with us. In accordance with the requirements of applicable legislation, we take all necessary security, technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Electronic data is stored in a protected database on our own secure server stored in a data centre exclusively in the European Union. We protect the database containing personal data from damage, destruction, loss and misuse.
How long we keep the data
We retain personal data relating to your user account for as long as you have an account, as it is necessary for us to be able to operate the account for you. If you do not have an account (you did not create a password when you created your order), we will retain your personal data relating to the order you have processed for the necessary period, which is generally five years from the date of delivery.
What are your rights
The fact that we process your personal data gives you a number of rights. If you exercise any of the rights set out below, we will inform you of the processing of your request within 30 days of the date of receipt of your request by us. In justified cases, we may extend this period to 60 days, which we will inform you of.
How to exercise your rights
You can exercise your rights by sending an email message or a written request to our contact details.
In your application, please include your first name, last name, email address, or permanent address. If you do not provide us with this information, we will not be able to grant your application. We require this information from you in order to verify your identity and to prevent you from providing your personal data to an unauthorised person.
Right of access to data
You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether personal data is being processed about you and, if we are processing your personal data, we will provide you with information about what data we are processing about you, for what purpose, to whom your personal data has been disclosed, whether it has been transferred to a third country and how long we will keep your personal data.
Right to repair
To err is human. If you believe that our company is processing incorrect personal data about you, you can exercise this right directly in your account settings in the “My Account” section or ask us to correct it. We care about processing the right personal data about you, so be sure to exercise this right whenever, for example, you move or any of your personal data that is important to your relationship with us changes.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
You have the right to erasure of your personal data that we process about you if the following conditions are met and no legal exceptions apply:
- the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected
- you withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data and there is no other legal basis for processing it
- you object on the basis of your particular situation to the processing of your personal data processed on the basis of legitimate interest and the legitimate grounds for processing do not prevail or you object to processing for the purpose of direct marketing
- personal data have been unlawfully processed.
Should your personal data be disclosed and you exercise your right to erasure with us, we will also erase such disclosed personal data. At the same time, we will inform other recipients of your personal data that you have exercised your right to erasure and should therefore erase all references to your personal data, if technically feasible in light of the technology available and the cost of carrying out these measures.
If you cancel your account with us, we will proceed to delete the data where possible and cancel the account within 10 days. However, for technical reasons (e.g. data backup), it may happen that some data will be deleted after a longer period of time, which should not exceed 60 days.
Right to restriction of processing
You also have the right to ask us to temporarily restrict processing in the following cases:
- if you believe that we are processing incorrect personal data about you, until such time as the accuracy of that personal data is verified
- the processing of your personal data is unlawful and you choose to request a restriction on the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure
- we no longer need the personal data for processing purposes, but it is necessary for your own purposes of establishing, exercising or defending your legal claims
- if you object to the processing of your personal data, pending verification that the legitimate grounds for processing your personal data outweigh your legitimate interests
Right to data portability
You have the right to obtain the personal data that we process about you on the basis of consent and/or contract and that we process by automated means, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You may also transfer this data to another person, therefore, if technically possible, we will transfer your personal data directly to the controller of your choice at your request.
Right to object
You have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation to the processing of your personal data which is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest, including the right to object to profiling based on our legitimate interest.
You also always have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if it is processed for direct marketing purposes.
Filing complaints
If you believe that the processing of your personal data by our company is in violation of applicable data protection laws, you have the right to file a complaint with our main supervisory authority – the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. We will be happy if you inform us of any suspicions first, so that we can do something about it and resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Silence
Please be assured that our employees and associates who will process your personal data are obliged to maintain confidentiality of personal data and security measures, the disclosure of which would jeopardize the security of your personal data. This confidentiality shall continue even after the termination of the contractual relationship with us. Your personal data will not be released to any other third party without your consent.
